DAY 9 MESA VERDE

With no travel planned for today, we could ignore Linda’s car and have a grand time, which we did. We started off with an early breakfast at the MV Park Cafeteria. Our tour guide picked us up at 0800 and we went on a very fascinating700 year tour of the Ancestral Puebloans and the sites of the area since 600 AD. We stopped at pit houses, cliff houses, and even completed the 1 hour strenuous Cliff house tour which consisted of climbing down steep pathways and stairs, walking along ledges, climbing up ladders and back up the hill. Being thoroughly exhausted afterwards, we grabbed a bite of lunch, headed to our room for a siesta. A visit to the Museum, dinner with Linda and Bob, and back to our rooms to back for tomorrow and early to bed. It was another beautiful weather day.

  1. Yikes! I wouldn't have gotten very far on the cliff house tour, but it must have been fascinating.

  2. It took a lot of nerve to do it. I did mention to Linda that Lee sure wouldn't be doing this.
